Gerrit Steenkamp

After nearly 30 years in performance tennis—playing, travelling, and coaching—I never thought my next chapter would be on two wheels. In 2016, after an ankle injury, I hopped on a road bike for the very first time. Eight years later, cycling has gone from rehab tool to true passion.

I’m lucky to call Cambridge, New Zealand home—a place where cycling of every kind thrives: road, track, MTB, and BMX. Surrounded by this energy, I’ve been able to blend my background in sport and travel into something new and exciting.

Since then, I’ve led eight cycling adventures to Northern Italy—and every year I find myself drawn back for more. There’s simply nothing like exploring Europe on a bike: the landscapes, the culture, the food, the camaraderie. It’s an experience that’s almost impossible to put into words—but once you’ve done it, you’ll never forget it.

I can’t wait to share these journeys with fellow riders who are as passionate about adventure as they are about turning the pedals.
